Most important thing that matters is organisation of political parties. Party that has best organisation wins polls.
HYDERABAD, INDIA: This is with reference to Aakar Patel’s article of November 10 “The Aam Aadmi and the BJP”. I beg to differ from the writer’s views that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will do well in Delhi next year in the Indian general elections. Opinion polls in India are flawed for the reason that their sample size is miniscule. The most important thing that matters is the organisation of political parties. The party that has the best organisation wins the polls. Organisation takes one generation to build. The AAP may win one or two seats but will not seriously impact the result of the elections. Witness how the hugely popular Imran Khan could win only a few seats from Punjab in the National Assembly. This is mainly because Nawaz Sharif’s party, the PML-N, was better organised.
