The K-P government should work on rebuilding the earthquake-affected schools and other facilities to their students.
ABBOTTABAD: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has attempted to introduce a biometric attendance system to keep a check on teachers through a system of marking their attendance through fingerprints. However, there might be an opportunity for the teachers to cheat this system by going to school in the morning, giving their attendance through fingerprints and then spending the whole day somewhere else, and at the time of the second attendance, they can easily come back and give their attendance again.
Another important issue is that there are still some schools in K-P which were destroyed by the 2005 earthquake and are still in bad condition. An example of this is Government Primary school 1 in Mirpur, Abbottabad, as well as many others that need the attention of the provincial government. The K-P government should work on rebuilding the earthquake-affected schools and provide books, furniture and other facilities to their students. If the K-P government succeeds in repairing these schools and providing the required facilities to the students, this will be a great achievement and a step towards a Naya Pakistan.
