Delhi’s problem

Letter November 11, 2013
None of the political parties, including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have answers to the real problem faced by the people.

SAN FRANCISCO: This is with reference to Seema Mustafa’s piece “The rise of the Aam Aadmi” (November 9). None of the political parties, including the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have answers to the real problem faced by the people of Delhi, which is of unplanned excessive migration of the poor to Delhi, with a resultant population explosion in the city. The people who migrate to Delhi are non-taxpaying migrants, whose numbers have outstripped the ability of the city to provide health, water, electricity and sanitation to them. Delhi seems to be going the way of Karachi.
