This only seems to be a move to help PPP win more seats in elections than it being a move to serve people of Karachi.
LAHORE: The Sindh government has created the new district of Korangi in the Karachi division. The Korangi district consists of Model Colony, Shah Faisal, Korangi and the Landhi sub-divisions. According to the Sindh government, carving out of a new district was a response to a long-standing demand of the people and to provide basic facilities to the people of the city at their doorstep.
There are no advantages of this division because the administrative system remains the same and old faces will still run the administrative system. Karachi is not in a position to open doors for new districts. This only seems to be a move to help the PPP in winning more seats in elections rather than it being a move to serve the people of Karachi. The city should not be divided in this manner; otherwise, it will harm the whole country.
