Dengue at Lahore Airport

Letter November 04, 2013
Lahore Airport is unique as the passengers are punished for reaching on time for their international flights!

JUBAIL, SAUDI ARABIA: I am waiting at the Lahore Airport to be allowed to enter the boarding hall. Incidentally, I reached the airport around 30 minutes early but the Airport Security Force does not allow passengers to enter until the boarding starts, which takes place three hours before the scheduled time. I have travelled to many places but the Lahore Airport is unique as the passengers are punished for reaching on time for their international flights!

However, the real reason I am writing you this email is that while waiting outside, we are completely surrounded by mosquitoes. One can hear them loud and clear. It seems that (perhaps) the Civil Aviation Authority, in association with the Punjab government, is trying to export dengue to the rest of the world!
