
Allama Iqbal never envisioned a secular state. Clearly, secularism is not the solution.
KARACHI: Religion is criticised because it is being used for personal benefits. Factually, there has been no real application of religion in Pakistan. I suggest all those supporting the separation of the state from religion should read the Holy Quran and that will, undoubtedly, help them decide what needs to be done. Allama Iqbal never envisioned a secular state. Clearly, secularism is not the solution.
