SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, USA: This is with reference to the story “Pakistan surrenders first ODI by one run” (November 1). The way Pakistan snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the first One-Day International of the five-match series against South Africa is disappointing stuff from the national team yet again. This drama has been seen so many times that now it seems like a rerun of a painful episode. Give our team a mere 50-run target and I bet it will wither away for under 40 runs.
