Diplomats have proved impotent and ineffective so why do they want to be there when the DGMOs hold their meeting?
BRIDGETOWN, NJ, USA: This is with reference to the editorial “Border solutions” (October 31). The Foreign Office mandarins of India and Pakistan have already met and talked, though they are not the ones resorting to firing on the Line of Control. Now, the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries have to talk and resolve the matter.
Diplomats have proved impotent and ineffective so why do they want to be there when the DGMOs hold their meeting? Military folks will talk a language they alone can understand so let them talk without hindrance and prodding from other quarters.
