Imran Khan’s stance (II)

Letter October 21, 2013
All the parties that took part in APC agreed to negotiate with Taliban, then why is only Imran Khan singled out.

HOUSTON, TX, USA: This is with reference to the editorial “Appeasement” (October 20). Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for the US and one of the things on his agenda is to ask the US to stop drone attacks on Pakistan’s tribal areas. Then why is the editorial only singling out Imran Khan and the PTI? All the parties that took part in the All Parties Conference agreed to negotiate with the Taliban, then why is only Imran Khan and the PTI singled out. I just fail to understand these double standards.

If negotiations and ceasing of drone attacks are successful in establishing peace, then I am pretty sure Nawaz Sharif will be credited for this, notwithstanding the fact that Imran Khan and the PTI had also been advocating the same things.
