The common man suffers

Letter October 12, 2010
The common man must suffer because of the ineptitude of our politicians.

KARACHI: Khaled Ahmed has made valid points in his article “Musharraf’s confession of Kashmir terror” (October 9).  Our leaders want to remain in power so they can accumulate wealth and enjoy all the perks that come with being a politician  They are least bothered to ameliorate welfare of the public. Non-state actors have parallel fighting set up and our rulers are helpless under their pressure. The common man can cannot comprehend widespread terrorism although it is widely believed to be a creation of intelligence agencies. Besides, it appears that the fate of our nation is decided by other countries like the US and Britain. Our rulers are foreign agents and they can stay in power as long as their foreign masters allow them. Poor policies and lack of justice has made Pakistan an unstable country. Hunger, inflation and a lack of law and order is not uncommon. The common man must suffer because of the ineptitude of our politicians.
