Only forces of darkness, apologists who somehow side with those forces, are maligning status of this innocent girl.
AUCKLAND: This is with reference to the article by Adnan Rafiq “Why Malala should inspire many of us” (October 9). Malala is a symbol of courage and enlightenment. Only the forces of darkness, and the apologists who somehow side with those forces, are maligning the status of this innocent girl. I have also met many people from her home town who are simply against her due to jealousy. These people end up linking her to the CIA and other intelligence agencies. They may be justified in their jealousy, for Malala did what most of the people of Swat could not have even thought of: she challenged the prevailing cruel militant mindset.
