I commend Mr Minallah for his crystal-clear thinking and complete understanding of the current situation in Pakistan.
NEW YORK: This is with reference to Athar Minallah’s article “Dialogue or surrender: What will it be?” (October 8). The writer has stated: “I was expecting the APC declaration to be a reflection of Jinnah’s Pakistan and the actions of the enemy interpreted and condemned as inhuman and un-Islamic. Instead, it reeks of Zia’s Pakistan and I fear we are being betrayed and fooled, a repetition of what has happened in the past 65 years. I plead with you to bury Zia’s Pakistan once and for all.”
I commend Mr Minallah for his crystal-clear thinking and complete understanding of the current situation in Pakistan. I believe that Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of Pakistan is under attack and the vultures are circling. Mr Minallah’s scholarship reveals why he is a Supreme Court advocate in Pakistan. There is very little hope if enlightened folks like him and Babar Sattar do not address structural issues that either willfully or not seem to completely confuse most Pakistanis.
