Why did Pakistan forget Malala (II)

Letter October 09, 2013
Is it fair to blame all Pakistanis because of few fanatics who support a conspiracy theory?

KARACHI: Unlike what the writer seems to believe, no one has forgotten Malala in Pakistan. She is an inspiration to us all. All the newspapers, television channels, radio stations and people in the government and in the opposition support her stance. A peace prize was named after her in 2011 even before she was attacked by the Taliban in October 2012.

Is it fair to blame all Pakistanis because of few fanatics who support a conspiracy theory? Also, to all of those people in the international community, who now suddenly ‘remember’ Malala and other inspirational people from Pakistan, I would really appreciate if they start ‘recognising’ these people before they get shot at and not after.
