I wonder why we need someone from outside to set our goals.
ABU DHABI: This is in response to the story “Shaky ground: Govt considers McKinsey for help with Vision 2025” (October 9). I wonder why we need someone from outside to set our goals. Every Pakistani knows what is needed to achieve a prosperous Pakistan:
1) Initiating land reforms; 2) taxing all sorts of incomes, including agriculture; 3) legislating for strict control and punishment for corruption; 4) privatising white elephants such as PIA, the Pakistan Steel Mills and 5) investing in public/private partnership for infrastructure development in the country.
