ISLAMABAD: There has been a huge increase in road traffic in our country in recent times. A good road network is the key to economic progress but it is also important to manage the result of this progress.
Now, one can’t reach any destination on time and there seems to be no one concerned enough to fix this problem. Our service roads are also often jam-packed because of the overwhelming traffic on the roads and construction of commercial buildings. This happens on a regular basis in Rawalpindi, where many CNG stations have been built in residential areas illegally. Ogra has issued show-cause notices to over 1,000 CNG station operators, asking them to justify why they have set up outlets in residential areas. The public faces lots of difficulties, not only in moving around in their respective localities but also because of the potential threats posed by these CNG stations in case of any mishap.
