Today, Pakistan is more akin to Fake-istan where almost everything is fake/counterfeit.
ISLAMABAD: On August 14, 1947 the most lethal weapon one could carry was a pen-knife. Today, everyone who is anyone carries a modern, sophisticated firearm. On August 14, 1947, if someone killed another person, he/she would be hanged or awarded life imprisonment. Today, people are killing by the hundreds and very frequently, too, and getting away with it. On August 14, 1947 the patwari-thanedars would dare not be involved in massive corruption, and today that is all that they do. On August 14, 1947, milk could be bought in pure form. Today, milk is a chemical brew containing all kinds of chemicals. On August 14, 1947, no one ever heard of spurious medicines, fake doctors or fake degrees. Today, Pakistan is more akin to Fake-istan where almost everything is fake/counterfeit. On August 14, 1947, there were no mafias and today all that we find are mafias.
