Dress modestly, please (II)

Letter September 27, 2013
Media should show some regard for what is left in Pakistan and point towards something that will make a difference!

ISLAMABAD: The media is humiliating one of Pakistan’s most prestigious institutions. I just went through the news and saw your editorial cartoon of September 27 on Facebook. I belong to NUST and I don’t understand why the institution is being portrayed this way? People living in glass houses are not supposed to throw stones at others. Newspapers should try to be the pride of the nation, not a disgrace. Stop disrespecting the nation’s best educational institution and our religion, as well.

The media should show some regard for what is left in Pakistan and point towards something that will make a difference! I’m not a rebel or religious mystic. I come from an army background, my family is liberal but liberty does not equal disobeying the rules or not following a dress code. I just do not understand why you are against this so much. Are you people willing to let this so-called modernisation take over our religion?
