If a person is elected from a party, they must remain in that party for some years so their performance can be judged.
KARACHI: There is a need for a bill to be passed in parliament: the Party Loyalty Bill. Through this bill, it must be ensured that a person elected from one party must remain in the party for 10 years, so that their performance can be checked consistently, because many candidates change their party at the end of the tenure of the government which they are part of at the time. Many candidates elected from a different party in the previous government are now changing their party affiliation as their tenure is near completion. If parliamentarians change their party after every election, how is their performance to be judged? If a person is elected from one party, the person must remain in the same party for some years so this way their performance can be judged. People must think carefully before joining any political party. In the last 20 years, many candidates were elected from the same constituency again but none of them actually did any kind of work. They just changed their party in every election in order to keep winning the seat in the assembly.
