If she did not tell Danish govt to protect its citizens, she has no business telling our govt what to do.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to the top quote of The Express Tribune on September 24, mentioning Ms Catherine Ashton, the EU High Representative, as saying that “Pakistan must protect all its citizens — regardless of their belief”. She is perfectly correct, of course. Eighty-three of our citizens lost their lives to two conscienceless suicide bombers. I am sure that she must have given the same message to the Danish Government of her own Union, when a few years ago a single citizen shot ninety-three children in a school. In that case, the Danish government took stern action and punished the mass murderer by locking him up in a luxury cell, condemning him to a life of ease and comfort with no work. Unfortunately, our government cannot enforce similar strong action because the cowards blew themselves up. If she did not tell that government to protect its citizens regardless of their ages, she has no business telling our government what it should do. Instead of preaching to the converted, she should join us in our misery and give some suggestions of just how to protect our citizens against ravaging, raving maniacs that stop at nothing and count no costs.
