LAHORE: Before we know it, the custodians of Islam, let loose by General Ziaul Haq, will hijack our country from right under our feet. These religious zealots want their own myopic and tyrannical version of religion enforced upon us. They have no intentions of tolerating any minorities in ‘their’ country, in their eyes even Shias are not Muslims.
Our regression which started with the era of Mr Zia reminds me of the futuristic film Planet of the Apes. These people are running amok, already blackmailing and dictating their terms to us. They have already infiltrated all our government institutions, schools and colleges and most of our population. Now, even you and I are in the minority.
