ISLAMABAD: While the administrative functioning of the PPP remained far below standard during Asif Ali Zardari’s five-year tenure as president, he will still be remembered for revitalising the Constitution, devolving powers to the provinces and heading a parliament that passed several unprecedented legislations from the constitutional amendments to women empowerment, and labour rights to formalisation of varying discretionary powers.
