These are the hypocrisies of the US and these are all too evident when it comes to dealing with the Muslim world.
TEHSIL JOHI, DISTRICT DADU: It seems America is hell-bent on attacking Syria. If we look at the past, in 2003 America attacked Iraq and for this, troops from not only the US but also the UK, Australia and Poland were used. Eventually the Baathist government of Saddam Hussein was overthrown. Meanwhile, the invasion was opposed by some long-standing US allies such as France, Germany, New Zealand and Canada. Their leaders argued that there was no evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and that invading the country was not justified in the context of reports from the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commissions.
Similarly, America also attacked Afghanistan in 2001 and its occupation of that country continues to this day. America’s intention was to eliminate militants and the Taliban but it ended up killing thousands of innocent Afghan civilians who had nothing to do with the insurgents. What kind of war is this which has not ended even after a decade? These are the hypocrisies of the US and these are all too evident when it comes to dealing with the Muslim world.
