There is still hope

Letter August 27, 2013
There is no doubt that there is still hope for Pakistan.

SYDNEY: With reference to Asad Rahim Khan’s article of August 27 “Hope, five years later”, I must commend the writer for his excellent piece. There is no doubt that there is still hope for Pakistan. Its hope is its millions of hard working, vibrant and resilient people, who despite all odds and security fears, step out of their homes in pursuit of acquiring education and earning a livelihood. And no one should say that they have become numb and indifferent. If that were true, they would not have flocked out of their homes to vote in such large numbers during the general elections despite threats from terrorists.
