Escape of terrorists

Letter August 21, 2013
How was it possible that someone from among the alleged terrorists came to know of the raid before it took place?

ERFURT, GERMANY: This is apropos the story “Lahore bust: Al Qaeda’s tech hub smashed; 13 rounded up” (August 21). As the story states, 13 alleged terrorists were arrested while about six of their accomplices fled before the raid took place.

If this is true, then Interior Minister Chaudary Nisar should immediately order an inquiry into the fleeing of the six suspected terrorists before the raid. How was it possible that someone from among the alleged terrorists came to know of the raid before it took place and was able to escape? Why was the area not properly cordoned off? Did someone inform some of the escapees that a raid was imminent?

Such high-profile raids should not have any loose ends and a proper investigation must be carried out to inform the nation, what went wrong and how some of the suspected terrorists were able to run away.
