The actions of a so-called official at the Commonwealth games were disgraceful.
LAHORE: The Olympics, Asian and Commonwealth games are a chance for athletes to showcase their hard work and talent and they should be centre-stage. As it is, Pakistani athletes suffer from lack of training facilities and a shortage of competitive arenas to demonstrate their abilities. The actions of a so-called official were disgraceful and showed callous disregard for the very athletes whose welfare he is supposed to be looking after. Even more embarrassing is the deafening silence from the sports authorities of the country for letting such behaviour go unpunished. For heaven’s sakes let the athletes have their moment in the limelight and if you cannot help them then get out of their way!
