PESHAWAR: This is with reference to Saroop Ijaz’s article “Fighting our War” (August 18). The writer has stated with regard to the way the government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) is responding to the terror threat in the following manner: “The present K-P government has one strategy: cowardice.”
The people of K-P have voted for the parties, which are in power in the province now, based on an understanding of their policies in word and spirit. Calling these policies ‘cowardice’ is an insult to the people of K-P and their mandate. Being the people who have faced the brunt of this war, we know how we want the issue to be approached and resolved.
