Our former prime minister’s role in the whole saga cannot be ignored.
NEW YORK: With reference to Ejaz Haider piece, “From khakis to the robes?” (August 7), I would like to point out that the writer has omitted the role of Shaukat Aziz in the saga of March 9, 2007 in instigating General (retd) Pervez Musharraf to act foolishly, as the Supreme Court was questioning the transparency of a privatisation deal that was full of opaque ‘shortcuts’. Our former prime minister’s role in the whole saga cannot be ignored.
