I hope India will open its borders to Pakistan, but the problem is with the movement of terrorists.
CLOVER, VA, US: This is with reference to Tariq Rahman’s piece “Moments of sanity in international travel” (August 5). The writer has talked about opening up of borders and of free movement within South Asia. I hope India will open its borders to Pakistan, but the problem is with the movement of terrorists. When Pakistan cracks down on the Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terrorist threats to India, and cooperates in apprehending any of these elements which try to cross the border, what the writer hopes for, can happen. With the Pakistani military and the government now on the same page with regard to how India is viewed, those who pose a threat to India will hopefully not find the going very easy.
