The interior minister is advised to get a daily briefing from his PRO on media coverage of the ministry’s activities.
ISLAMABAD: As a people-friendly gesture, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has indicated his private email address on the website of the Ministry of Interior. This is a commendable initiative to receive feedback from the people regarding policies, decisions and actions of the ministry and officials concerned of the departments and organisations under the administrative control of the ministry. I have emailed a number of messages to the honourable minister on this address which is also posted on the website: interior.complaintcell@gmail.com.
Unfortunately, I have not received a single acknowledgement so far. I think there is some administrative problem that needs to be corrected, otherwise the initiative of the minister will go down the drain and the existing gulf between the rulers and the ruled will continue.
