All those responsible for maintaining the security of jails should be fired over the Dera Ismail Khan jailbreak.
TOPEKA, KS, US: This is with reference to Nasim Zehra’s piece “Living in Denial-istan” (July 31). All those responsible for maintaining the security of jails, including the minister who is supposed to look after the jails, should be fired over the Dera Ismail Khan jailbreak.
However, this seems to be wishful thinking on my part, given that no heads rolled even after what happened in Abbottabad, with a foreign country staging an attack deep inside Pakistan. No one had the decency to resign then and now, too, nothing will happen, and the same incompetent people will be making excuses and remain in their posts to receive perks and privileges.
