OSLO, NORWAY: This is with reference to Nabeel Jafri’s article, “Pakistan’s dying poor artistes” (July 26). The piece is a very informative write-up. However, there is one small correction. NM Rashid was never Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Nations — although, he served the United Nations for many years, on assignments in several countries. It is possible that the author has mixed up NM Rashid’s association with the United Nations with that of Pitras Bukhari’s, who was Pakistan’s first ambassador to the United Nations and represented his country with great distinction and honour.
