I am proud of women in my country, not just from armed forces but in all professions across the country who steps up.
ISLAMABAD: It is high time that we come out of our narrow cocoons of thinking. The nation needs to be proud of the fact that Pakistani women have stepped up and are making their way through the ranks for the prosperity of the country. We should be proud that they are playing a role, instead of getting into debates about who came out first. Such rifts from the inside give way to the outsiders to take advantage of, and play with, our weaknesses. The daughters of our nation, maybe doctors, lawyers, politicians, media persons, human rights activists, lawyers, teachers, mountaineers, uniformed officers, those running small cottage industries, other entrepreneurs, etc, are to be a part of the battle our country is fighting in this high-tech era. We should not be divided on small issues and must try to show unity in diversity.
I am proud of any woman in my country, not just from the armed forces but in all professions across the country who steps up. I am proud that she takes responsibility for being a representative of half of the total population. The more we stand united and fight together, the stronger we would be.
