I am very surprised by such a juvenile statement coming from someone of his stature.
MELBOURNE: This is with reference to the story “ICC meeting: Some people tried to get Pakistan suspended, says Sethi” (July 3). According to the story, the interim chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi, states: “We will hire a white lawyer in the UK, since they react to our skin colour, to look at the anti-corruption laws and look at ways to get, at least, 20 per cent relief for Amir.”
This is, perhaps, one of the most disappointing statements from a person of such high calibre as that of Mr Sethi. He sounds desperate and like a backbench politician. I am very surprised by such a juvenile statement coming from someone of his stature.
