It is a shame that he got involved in this terrible saga.
SYDNEY: This is with reference to the story “Banned Amir may get ICC reprieve” (July 3). Mohammad Amir was an extraordinary talent. I loved the way he tormented a decent Australian batting line-up when Pakistan was Down Under in 2009. He was really quick and was praised by one and all here in Australia.
It is a shame that he got involved in this terrible saga. It is a pity that players like the Akmal brothers, who dropped catches on a regular basis and even refused to play in a match, got away with their shenanigans, while Amir despite admitting his mistake is languishing on the sidelines.
