How can a statement made on the floor of the House be termed not a party position but individual opinion?
ISLAMABAD: The statement made in the National Assembly by a PTI MNA from Mardan, demanding the release of Mumtaz Qadri, the convicted murderer of Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer, is shameful. Imran Khan and the PTI must take a clear position on the issue. How can a statement made on the floor of the House be termed not a party position but individual opinion? If the party does not agree with this “personal opinion”, then it should serve a notice to the member to explain his position, and throw him out if his views do not comply with party policy. If no action is taken, members of the public will be justified in concluding that the party has opened doors for intolerant persons.
