Breaking the monopoly of cricket boards

Letter June 21, 2013
Nowadays cricket boards cannot bully those of their players who play in the IPL, as it gives them good option to earn.

CHANDIGARH, INDIA: Apropos to your article “Players complain over delay in salaries” (June 20). The Pakistani first class players, who still have not been paid their salaries and are rightly complaining about this state of affairs, should be allowed to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This way they will make more money than the pittance given to them by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Like it or not, but nowadays, cricket boards cannot bully those of their players who play in the IPL, as it gives them a good option to earn decent money and breaks the monopoly enjoyed by the boards.
