Overseas Pakistanis

Letter June 20, 2013
Reality is that number of overseas Pakistanis, who are optimistic about Pakistan, is decreasing with each passing day.

MOMBASA, KENYA: This is with the reference to the article “A letter to the overseas Pakistanis” (June 19) by Imran Ahmad. I am glad to read about his optimism regarding our beloved country. The few examples he has mentioned are of those who are trying to make some difference and are battling for a better future. However, such examples are very limited and one can count them on fingers tips, as he did.

As overseas patriotic Pakistanis, we never give up hope in our country. But the reality is that the number of overseas Pakistanis, who are optimistic about Pakistan, is decreasing with each passing day. Many are losing hope about it due to the chronic security situation, with the number of pessimists increasing rapidly, especially in the younger generation.
