This is one reason why I have moved to Australia, where my relatives can visit with greater ease.
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA: This is with reference to Peggy Petrovich’s article “Tips on getting a US visa” (June 17). As a US citizen, I am not too happy with the American visa process — and not just for Pakistanis.
The review process for visas is ridiculously long and an epic could be written on the tales of woe from across the planet. This is one reason why I have moved to Australia, where my relatives can visit with greater ease, with the maximum visa processing time being just one month. I sincerely hope Ms Petrovich can make a difference with her noble intentions and change the process for the better.
