Death of an educationist (II)

Letter June 02, 2013
One can only hope that whoever is involved in Azfar Rizvi's murder is apprehended and punished.

KARACHI: I was really shocked to hear this  horrible piece of news on the local TV channels that a well-known personality, Azfar Rizvi, has been killed along with his driver in a shooting near Karimabad. The late Azfar Rizvi was a very decent person. Every year, he used to invite dozens of people to a dawat-e-haleem at his residence in Federal B Area during the Islamic month of Safar and my family members used to go there every year on his invitation. Last Safar, he did not arrange the dawat-e-haleem due to security reasons.

He was also associated with the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, and was known for his humbleness and kind behaviour with everyone. One can only hope that his family is able to bear this irreparable loss and those involved in his murder apprehended and punished.
