KARACHI: I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the ban on pillion riding in Karachi, enforced since the Abbas Town tragedy occurred, but there seems to be no positive reinforcement of this ban. In fact, almost every day, many innocent citizens of Karachi are still being killed by terrorists. Furthermore, because of this ban, people have been suffering incessantly, especially students, who often make use of pillion riding to get to their institutes since, more often than not, they cannot afford to travel alone or use public transport on a regular basis.
I would like to request the departments concerned to undo this ban and provide some relief to the people of the city.
