Problem in the air

Letter May 25, 2013
The PIA crew should have been more tactful in handling this situation.

PESHAWAR: The needless negative publicity involving PK-709’s diversion to Stansted Airport could have been avoided, had the captain of the plane behaved in a professional and mature manner, instead of creating an international scare, where none existed. A scuffle on board a PIA flight to Manchester carrying hot-headed British citizens of Pakistani origin is not an unusual affair for frequent fliers on this route travelling in the economy class. The PIA crew should have been more tactful in handling this situation.
