KARACHI: This is with reference to your editorial of Septemeber 23 titled “Delivered death”. Life is all about facing risks and taking chances. One cannot be expected isolate ones selves from society because we fear that we will face obstacles and difficulties.
The issue mentioned in the editorial is similar in nature. Those who deliver goods on motorcycles have made life easy for many of us, delivering things we need right to our door-steps. However, those who employ these delivery people need to ensure that they are provided with insurance and medical care if they are injured in the line of duty. At the very least, the employers should ensure that the two-wheelers are properly maintained.
