LONDON: This is with reference to Saroop Ijaz’s article “Voting for Hate” (May 5). It seems as if the writer is condoning corruption in manifested terms albeit under the garb of a trumped-up charge of murder on others, including the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. It is little surprise that we have not been cured of our various ills for the last six and a half decades because our so-called intellectuals are ready to sweep naked thievery and venality under the carpet over the pretext that those who indulge in them follow a certain ideology.
