We have not tiptoed around terror. Rather, we have stood resolutely against terrorism and led this war from the front.
KARACHI: Your story “Existential threat: Tiptoeing around terror” (May 1) has been very unfair by condensing 14 pages of the “Protecting the People of Pakistan” chapter, which is part of the PPP’s manifesto for the elections, into five and a half lines and then commenting that the PPP has “tiptoed around terror”. The detailed chapter covers our exemplary performance in freeing large territories of our motherland from extremist rule, as well as the coordinated plans for the future that will eliminate the menace for good.
We have not tiptoed around terror. Rather, we have stood resolutely against terrorism and led this war from the front. We have learnt our lessons the hard way, hence the detailed description in our manifesto on our analysis, performance and plans regarding the elimination of terrorism. Every line of this chapter is relevant and important.
