KARACHI: This is with reference to the editorial “The Supreme Court speaks” (September 23). In the Urdu language it is said that the law is blind but in our country we have seen it blindly used in the favour of dictators. Ironically, it’s used with open eyes against democratically-elected governments.
We need to revisit certain constitutional clauses which are not crystal clear and have dual meanings which allow for different interpretations. The ball is then in the hands of the judges who are being viewed as highly controversial for the first time in 63 years of our history. One wonders why they want the present government to move around on their knees.
