Why has no one ever reached out to hear our pleas when we have been killed ruthlessly?
KARACHI: This is with reference to the story on April 26, “The PPP to axe leaders going against party lines” (April 26) by Mr Hafeez Tunio. It is ironic that in his question as to the whereabouts of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the general secretary of the PPP Sindh chapter went on to say that he will lead the campaign through video links because of the security threat he faces, when the party itself has ensured none for the citizens of Pakistan. It is disturbing to see that when so many Pakistanis die each day from bomb blasts and targeted killings, politicians are more concerned about themselves. Why has no one ever reached out to hear our pleas when we have been killed ruthlessly? Nor has anyone attempted to provide “protocols” for our cars, motorbikes or transport. Such issues should be kept in mind by voters when the elections are so close.
