The use of environment-friendly bags is an important step towards reduction of pollution.
ISLAMABAD: The world recently marked International Earth Day on April 22, which focuses on climate change in particular. The impact of climate change on our planet is quite visible. Global warming is of much concern in this regard. We can put our efforts at the individual level by using nature-friendly products instead of harmful ones.
It must be noted that the use of plastic bags is harmful for the environment. In our country, their use is very common and they are one of the major causes of pollution if not disposed off properly. We have no proper waste disposal system in Pakistan so these bags should be banned as soon as possible. The use of environment-friendly bags is an important step towards reduction of pollution. It is our duty as responsible citizens to reduce the use of plastic bags.
