Appointment letters should be issued to qualifying candidates for the post of assistant professors at the earliest.
KARACHI: It was early 2010 when the Sindh Public Service Commission announced positions of assistant professors BPS-18, in the Education and Literacy Department. After a long delay of more than three years, at last, on March 20, 2013, interviews for the said posts were conducted and the results were announced on March 31.
We, the candidates for these positions, now request the interim Chief Minister, Zahid Qurban Alavi, the Sindh governor, Dr Ishratul Ebad, the provincial chief secretary and the secretary of education to issue appointment orders to the candidates who have qualified so that we may join the Education Department and start working without further waste of time. Although nothing can compensate for the time we have lost so far, we will be thankful to all the authorities concerned if the long delay is compensated through issuing appointment orders at the earliest.
