ISLAMABAD: This is in reference to Sameer Ahmed’s article “Clash of cultures in New York” (September 19). Intolerance in Americans can be explained and is, perhaps, even justifiable. Just think if the non-Muslims of Pakistan acquire and plan to build their respective places of worship on Constitutional Avenue in Islamabad or any of other main areas in any big cities or in front of any mosque in Pakistan, would our people not act out and protest? It is important to note that the problem is not with the place of worship but its location.
