We would like the secretary concerned and the PMDC management to immediately look into this scandal
ISLAMABAD: The management of the Pakistan Institute of Management Sciences has recently formed a departmental promotion committee just to oblige one candidate, who has been promoted despite not being qualified for a promotion as per the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) rules. For anyone to be eligible for promotion from the post of assistant professor to professor, the minimum criteria involves five years of service as assistant professor with three publications in PMDC-recognised journals.
The candidate promoted out of turn in the final days of the PPP government has only three years of service as assistant professor with only one publication. We would like to request the secretary concerned and the PMDC management to immediately look into this scandal and bring to book those responsible for flouting rules and regulations with no regard for merit.
